The Spiritual symbol of Heart
Energy Centre (Anahat Chakra) is a green shaded Lotus with twelve petals. The Frequency of vibration of this Energy
Centre is 12 per seconds and its
main element is air.
Safety Measures: The Heart Energy Centre
directly affects the heart, lungs, chest, arms, and hands. When misaligned,
poor circulation, high or low blood pressure, and
other heart and lung conditions can result.
An imbalanced Heart Energy Centre can
result in problematic issues, such as co-dependence, manipulative behaviours,
feeling of unworthiness, and an inability to trust yourself or others. If it becomes unbalanced, you may feel detached from
the world around you. Each breath
you take that connects you to your physical and spiritual world is enveloped by
Heart Energy Centre, and if unbalanced or
blocked can lead to a disconnection from the people you love, love for
yourselves, and love for the earth. Problems in relationships heighten
and you tend to lose hope. You lose sight of beauty, love, empathy, and
compassion.
Common
psychological symptoms of an unbalanced Heart Energy Centre are apathetic, distrustful, faithlessness, unforgiving,
hopelessness, uncommitted and detached. Common physical symptoms of an unbalanced Heart Energy
Centre are pneumonia, asthma, breast problems, respiratory
problems, upper-back pain, shoulder and upper-arm pain, and premature aging.
Method: Do meditation on it as follows:
Step 1: Sit in Lotus pose (Padmasana) and relax your body.
Step 2: Enter into Pranayama by
practicing slow and deep breathing through nose. Simultaneously do Pratyahara by
the practice of turning the mind to
introspection by voluntarily shutting out distractions provided by the senses.
Step 3: Keep your hands on knees with
palms upwards and fingers in Air Position (Vayu Mudra).
Step 4:
Focus your vision at Heart Energy Centre (Anahat Chakra). Concentrate at Thymus
gland by relaxing upper chest in front of heart. Keep your eyes shut, spine
erect, body relaxed while breathing deeply.
Perform at least one round of ten deep
gentle breaths.
Benefits:
The Heart Energy Centre is the centre of your spirit as well as the centre of
the chakras, making it a vital energy centre for your spiritual, mental, and
physical well-being. It is associated with capacity to love;
integration, bridge between earthly and spiritual aspirations; transcending
personal identity and limitations of the ego; experience of unconditional love
and connection with all; heart-centered discernment; appreciation of beauty in
all things and experiencing deep and meaningful relationships. It connects
the lower
and upper chakras. It acts
as a centre of integration of earthly matters and higher aspirations. Far from
seeing these energies as separate, the experience of the heart integrates them effortlessly and harmoniously.
It is associated with
love, compassion, safety, trust, adventure, self-compassion, forgiveness, and
relationships. Balancing and opening it enhances the love for self and
others. It allows you to feel compassion, empathy, and forgiveness for
others; and it reconnects you to the loving world around you. Peace and
harmony flourish in relationships with others and self. It is
all about connecting and relating. The emphasis here is on love, giving and receiving, and
how open you are in relationships.
It is
also a centre through which you experience beauty in life. Seeing the world through a balanced Heart
Energy Centre is being in a state of openness and acceptance that brings you in
touch with your world and yourselves in profound and fulfilling ways. It is the
source of deep and profound truths that cannot be expressed in words. You are able to connect with the child-like world
vision of beauty you were born with, generating adventure and zest for life.
The thymus gland,
which can be energized through this Energy Centre, is important in the defense system of the body. Meditation on
it balances release of Thymosin Hormone. It also plays an important role in helping the body
fight infections.
While practicing this
Energy Centre‚ you also get hold of all the benefits of Lotus Pose. It has
the power to quiet the noise and worry in the brain and draw awareness on the
external to the internal. In addition to it, you are also benefited from
Pranayama, Pratyahara
and Air Position.
Final Position: Inhale a deep breath
through nose and exhale it through mouth to come out of this stage. Take
another similar breath and release it moving to next stage. Take one more
similar breath before the start of next stage.
