SOLAR PLEXUS ENERGY CENTRE (Manipur Chakra)

The Spiritual symbol of Solar Plexus Energy Centre (Manipur Chakra) is a bright yellow shaded Lotus with ten petals. The Frequency of vibration of this Energy Centre is 10 per seconds and its main element is fire. It allows you to meet challenges and move forward in your life.

Safety Measures: An imbalanced Solar Plexus Energy Centre could undermine your self-esteem and social life. Imbalances in it can manifest as excessive control and authority over your environment and people, feeling of helplessness, irresponsibility, being obsessed with minute details, seeing life through a filter of plus and minuses while losing sight of the whole picture, being manipulative, misusing your power, lack of clear direction, lack of purpose or ambition and making plans or having a lot of ideas without finding efficient ways to realize them.

One of the main causes of malfunctioning solar plexus is the harbouring of negative emotions. Negative emotions can manifest through different ailments among different people. In case you have a blocked or a deficient Solar Plexus Energy Centre, you will be more passive and inactive, you will find it boring to pass life and will end up doing nothing all times. You will have depression and anxiety problems in case of blocked solar plexus. There will be a lack of self-control. There will be issues related to self worth. It would become difficult to maintain boundaries.

Method: Do meditation on it as follows:

Step 1: Sit in Lotus pose (Padmasana) and relax your body.

Step 2: Enter into Pranayama by practicing slow and deep breathing through nose. Simultaneously do Pratyahara by the practice of turning the mind to introspection by voluntarily shutting out distractions provided by the senses.

Step 3: Keep your hands on knees with palms upwards and fingers in Sun Position (Surya Mudra).

Step 4: Focus your vision at Solar Plexus Energy Centre (Manipur Chakra). Concentrate at Pancreas glands by relaxing upper Abdomen and naval. Keep your eyes shut, spine erect, body relaxed while breathing deeply.

Perform at least one round of ten deep gentle breaths.

Benefits: The main function of this energy centre is to provide actual momentum to move forward and realize personal desires and intentions in the world. It plays a fundamental role in the development of personal power. It feeds your direction in life and the actions taken in order to reach your goals. It influences preoccupations about social status and self-image.

A balanced Solar Plexus Energy Centre makes it easy to find balance between your personal power and harmonious relationships with others. When it is balanced, you may be assertive, exert your will in a way that leads to the expected results somewhat effortlessly and have harmonious relationships with your surroundings. Strong Solar Plexus Energy Centre reflects the ability to move forward in life with confidence and power. It reflects the ability to make conscious choices to choose and to act. The force of this Energy Centre allows you to transform inertia into action and movement.

The persons with open solar plexus are effective at getting what they intend to get and at reaching their goals. They have a great physical energy and mental level. They also do have good relationships where they neither try to dominate their partner nor they are dominated by the other.

Meditation on Solar Plexus Energy Centre balances release of Insulin and Glucagons Hormones. It controls and energizes the gastrointestinal system, diaphragm, pancreas, liver and stomach.

While practicing this Energy Centre‚ you also get all the benefits of Lotus pose. The symbol of Lotus pose, the lotus flower, has powerful meaning and can help bring peace when internalized. In addition to it, you are also benefited from Pranayama, Pratyahara and Sun Position.

Final Position: Inhale a deep breath through nose and exhale it through mouth to come out of this stage. Take another similar breath and release it moving to next stage. Take one more similar breath before the start of next stage.
